We love what we do and it shows…

Our high street showroom evolved in 2003, going online, providing a national kitchens and worktops service here on the internet.  With the overheads, rates, stock and staff, and small sales area, going online was too attractive to pass up.  Our trade kitchens distribution company, Specialist Studio Kitchen Distribution is abbreviated to S.S.K.D, with our online presence known as Selffit Kitchens online with two retail web sites for kitchens or worktops.

We had distributed kitchens from our warehouse since 1989 to kitchen showrooms, trade builders and developers and architects all over East Anglia, London and Kent.  Now, a decade later, with the infrastructure, access to stock and our new online presence we have been able to offer kitchens all over the UK since we started online back in the 90′s.

My family has been in kitchens and worktops since 1982 and I joined the company after being an electrician from leaving school for 6 years.  I am now 39 and have been promoting the business of kitchens and worktops since 1995.  I was the van driver for 8 years, delivering kitchens and worktops all over the south of England, then the warehouse manager for 4 years and director for many, so I hope I know the whole job of kitchens.

Online, yet still passionate and personal.

I know the hardship of sleeping across the seats of the van, loading in the snow, and then working on the accounts all weekend, but also the rewards of the thank you letters, reviews and emails from customers.  I now work with Lorraine who deals with the day to day contact, planning, ordering and administration of the kitchens and worktops and we are happy to serve you with your requirement for 7-21 day delivery kitchens all over the UK.  The business is successful and a great reward for the years of effort we have put in and I thank all our customers for this.

We come from a background of a family business and this ethos continues even though we are national.
